One Week Gone
April 14th, 2008 by bastardizedSo we have been back online for one week now. The website and forums are looking a bit better now that the default themes have been changed and things are coming along. There is still a little work to do like link the forums back to the main page but that’s about it. Once those little details are wrapped up I am done. Nothing fancy this time around, just something functional…
We have nine people signed back up on the Forums. That is a good showing for a week, I am happy to see some old friends back in the mix and taking the return of the site so well. I hope that we are joined by more past LmnoP members as time goes on. It can be tough trying to track people down after so many years. People drop off the internet or stop gaming which is pretty much what happened to me.
Anyhow, I am going out for a nice burger for lunch. There is a place not too far from the office that has some killer burgers. The place has the typical old bar atmosphere but the burgers are homemade and cooked to order. The Onion Rings and Fries are great and it is just a good meal! It reminds me of the burgers and fries my grandparents used to cook, just good eats.

It has been a long time my friends. The team went belly up over six years ago and for the most part we all went our separate ways. I hear that some people keep in touch and I am glad to know that we were able to come away with some good friends out what we had. I have been thinking a bit about the good old days, the fun times we used to have and how the team was really a family, however dysfunctional we may have been. I remember the time when the team was young and we were in it for the fun, it wasn’t about winning matches or being the best, it was just about hanging out and having a good time.
I decided to reregister the domain names teamlmnop.com and lmnopgaming.org for a couple of reasons, one is to hold onto the names and remind people that we really were one of the top East Coast Teams and another is to see if I can drum up some of the old members and jump on a server from time to time to relive the past. There is a bit of work to do to track everyone down and I don’t plan on making a fancy website, just something simple and easy to manage even if it is only updated now and then.
I have been playing a little old school death match over the past few weeks and guess what… even though there are new games with fancy graphics in the end, the original Half-Life is a classic and still a blast! Get your Steam account fired up and look me up if you are ever online…
